Notice is hereby given that, due to the floods that have hit Kazakhstan in recent weeks, the Astana Ballet Theatre Company will not be able to take part in the Nervi Music Ballet Festival on the evening scheduled for Wednesday 24 July 2024, at 9.15 p.m., at the Parchi di Nervi. The Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice expresses its deep sympathy to the people of Kazakhstan, hoping that the emergency situation can be resolved as soon as possible. The following is a statement by Alexander Sovostyanov, Director of the Astana Ballet Theatre: “Dear all, due to the emergency situation caused by the floods in Kazakhstan, an instruction has been received from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan to suspend the foreign tour for the Nervi Music Ballet Festival on 24 July 2024. In this regard, the Astana Ballet Theatre is forced to cancel the date. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused and thank you for your support at this difficult time for our country. The floods have caused significant damage to several regions of Kazakhstan. Our Government and cultural institutions are making every effort to help the victims and eliminate the consequences of the disaster, all resources and attention of the Ministry of Culture are directed towards solving the current problems of the country. We sincerely hope for your support and understanding. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation”.
