The 2023 Nervi Music Ballet Festival includes one show of the David Garrett Trio’s Iconic tour, bringin live in all Europe their new album “Iconic”, released in november 2022 for Deutsche Grammophon. Iconic is a journey across the works of the great composers of the vilinistic virtuosism such as Bach, Vivaldi, Dvořák, Gluck, Kreisler, Mendelssohn and Schumann. David Garrett draws on such eminent authors, reinterpreting their works in a personal key and with original arrangements.

David Garrett started studying the violin at four years old and was then formed by Zahkar Bron and Ida Haendel. His extraordinary and multifaceted talent was discvered very early. As a child prodigy, David Garrett debuted onstage at 10 years old becoming the youngest artist ever to sign with the prestigious label Deutsche Grammophon at 14 years old. When he was only a child, he had already worked with legendary conductors auch as Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado and Yehudi Menuhin. At 15 years old, he recorded all 24 15 anni ha registrato tutti i 24 Capricci by Paganini, one of the most technically demanding pieces ever written for violin. Yehudi Menuhin has defined him as “the greatest violinist of his generation”. At this point of his career, he chose to both sharpen and widen his abiities by attending the famous Juilliard School of New York, becoming a student of Itzhak Perlman. Since then, he has wroked with the most exceptional classical orchestra conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, Riccardo Chailly and Andrés Orozco-Estrada. Furthermore, he collaborates with the most renowned ensembles such as the Wiener Symphoniker, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Filarmonica della Scala, the RAI di Torino, the ensemble of Accademia di Santa Cecilia, The Russian National Orchestra and the Israeli Philharmonic.

In november 2022, he released his new classical music album ICONIC. He has soon reached the 4th position in the German Pop-Chart, an extraordinary achievement for a classical music record.
